Semi-automatic, closed-bolt version of the U.S.-contracted FN M249 PARA. The PARA is the short-barrel, collapsible-stock M249 SAW variant built for airborne, armored and close-quarters roles. It is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO with a 16.1" cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined quick-change barrel. It feeds from a linked belt or magazine and converts to the standard configuration in about 30 seconds.
