Built for the Chiappa 1886 Take Down Wildlands 45-70. True 2-baffle radial brake: 90° radial ports intersect to form expansion chambers and real baffles for recoil reduction without concussion. It stays slim at .840" and sits clean on the barrel, adding only 1.125" forward of the muzzle.

Installation

  1. Make sure the firearm is completely unloaded.
  2. Confirm the brake bore matches or exceeds your caliber.
  3. Remove the factory thread protector or muzzle device, and any O-ring on the threads.
  4. Thread the brake on and hand tighten with the included tensioning key, using the ports nearest the crown.
  5. Remove the key after tightening.
