The AUG A3 M2 is the current version of Steyr's bullpup AUG, the short-stroke gas-piston rifle first adopted by the Austrian army in 1977. It is offered with a standard stock (Steyr "waffle" magazines) or a NATO stock (STANAG/AR-15 magazines), with a Mannox-lined cold-hammer-forged barrel and an extended Picatinny rail.
