What This Cadex Defense “Multi-Caliber System” Offers

- Support for numerous cartridges (hence the name). The Cadex CDX-MC Kraken is available in a number of calibers that are suitable for a wide range of sporting applications ranging from hunting big game to extreme long-range shooting. It’s available chambered in 6 Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Winchester, .300 Win Mag, 7 PRC, .300 PRC, .300 RUM, .300 Norma Mag, and .338 Lapua Mag. The latter two are excellent for hunting and long-range shooting. All barrels are mil-spec, match-grade, with single-point cut rifling and an optimized twist rate for the given chambering.
- Caliber interchangeability. It’s not just that this Cadex rifle is chambered in several different cartridges, but that the baseline system has interchangeable barrels and actions that can accommodate those calibers. Also importantly, the caliber can be changed out quite easily. All you need to do so is to remove the barrel, remove the magazine well (using a hex wrench), and replace the magazine sleeve. - 5R rifling. This Cadex rifle sports 5R rifling, which uses 5 lands and grooves, instead of 6 (or more), hence the name. This type of rifling offers two significant advantages; one is that it incurs less deformation to the bullet as it passes through, upholding a higher degree of accuracy. The other is that the rifling edges are smoother and sloped, making it easier for conventional cleaning tools to remove fouling. This results in a rifle that shoots more accurately and is easier to keep clean.
- A mirage control tube. The Cadex Defense CDX-MC Kraken has a mirage control tube that controls heat from the barrel, minimizing distortion when looking through an optic, enabling more accurate shots especially at greater ranges.
- A tool-free adjustable stock. The Cadex CDX-MC Kraken sports a stock that enables tool-free adjustments for length of pull and comb height and comes with a neoprene cheek pad. The stock is also side-folding which slims down the profile, making the footprint more compact for easy transport. In addition, the stock protects the bolt handle in the folded position. (It’s also configurable with a skeletonized fixed stock if that’s preferred.)
- A monopod rail under the stock. The stock sports this feature which makes it easier for the rifle to accommodate a bean bag rider if such a rest is desired.
- Muzzle-brake readiness. This multi-caliber system comes with a threaded barrel and a muzzle brake, and is ready to accept a suppressor as well.
- A bombproof Cadex chassis. The Cadex chassis on which this multi-caliber system is built is made from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum that is finished with a non-reflective paint. The platform is also available in a wide range of colorways and finishes and with Cerakote finishes as well. The chassis is also M-LOK compatible.
- A detachable base. This rifle platform sports an aluminum detachable base that makes it easier to remove the trigger assembly for cleaning, adjustment or maintenance. Being able to remove the base also ensures that the rifle can maintain its zero even when you drop the trigger group.
- Plenty of real estate for mounting shooting accessories. The Cadex Defense CDX-MC Kraken sports numerous Picatinny rails and M-LOK slots along the stock and forend (former) and forend (latter).
- Compatibility with a wide range of specific Cadex Defense accessories.
